The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) is currently running a renewable energy technology programme, the first of its kind in Nigeria. The course is designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills to develop successful careers in the rapidly growing energy access sector of Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. Students will learn about photovoltaic systems, bioenergy systems, wind power systems, hydroelectricity as well as developing their own models for sustainable rural electrification projects that are affordable and appropriate.
